The Floor has two studios to accommodate non-profit rehearsals. The ground floor Movement Studio (1600 sqft) is our larger space which can accommodate up to 25 dancers. The second floor Dance Studio (1100 sqft) is appropriate for a cast of 10 or less. For non-profit rates no fee may be exchange between participants.

DANCE STUDIO

The DANCE STUDIO is located on the second floor of our building and is an 1100 square-foot (44x25) column free, open space.

RENTAL RATES

NON-PROFIT: $20/hour
Performing arts person or organization
No fee exchanged between participants

DANCE MAKERS: $10/hour
Subsidized space through Dance/NYC & the Mellon Foundation
No fee exchanged between participants

We are honored to be a Dance/NYC Rehearsal Space Subsidy Program grantee! The program is made possible by the generous support of the Mellon Foundation! With this grant, The Floor is able to offer $10/hour rental rates to dance makers from 2022-2024. This rate is only applicable for the second floor dance studio. All artists must complete a survey from Dance/NYC to receive the subsidized rate.

MOVEMENT STUDIO

The MOVEMENT STUDIO is located on the ground floor of our building. It is a large 1625 sqt (25X65) column free space. This studio has a private dressing room and bathroom.
