The BACK SPACE is a dance studio located on the second floor of our building and is an 1100 square-foot (44x25) column free, open space. The studio has a JBL sound system, a mirrored wall with drapes and ballet barres. This studio is appropriate for dance groups of 10 or smaller. The Floor is a barefoot facility.

The Floor is honored to be a Dance/NYC Rehearsal Space Subsidy Program grantee! The program is made possible by the generous support of the Mellon Foundation! With this grant, The Floor is able to offer $10/hour rental rates to dance makers for 2026.
